Headaches often
don't start in the head.
Behind headaches that start at the back of the head and get worse by evening, the neck often stands. It's worth looking for the cause there too.
Sound familiar?
If any of these are part of your everyday life, you are in the right place.
- The pain starts at the back of the head and creeps towards your forehead or eye.
- After a day at the screen, it is strongest in the evening.
- Your neck tenses together with the headache.
- The painkiller only postpones it - it returns the next day.
- The back of your head is sensitive to pressure, your shoulder girdle is hard.
- Light and noise bother you more than usual.
What may be behind it?
The source is often lower than the pain.
Stiff upper neck
When the small joints of the upper neck move less freely, the pain can radiate into the back of the head and up over the head.
Tense neck muscles
The small muscles under the skull tighten and send the pain towards the crown.
Forward head posture
At the screen the head slides forward - every centimetre is extra work for the neck. By evening it is worn out.
Teeth clenching
Night-time clenching tenses the jaw muscles - the pain shows up at the temple.
We decide what your treatment builds on after the assessment. That is why it is never a template with me.

If the pain comes with fever, is accompanied by numbness or weakness, or started after an accident, please see a doctor first. Treatment complements medical care - it does not replace it. Diagnosing and treating migraine is a doctor's job; I work with complaints that start in the neck.

The method
I never treat neck-related headaches with a single technique.
From the tools of Baronekgyógyír Integrated Therapy (BIT), what the assessment justifies is used: bone-setting, therapeutic massage, reflexology or movement therapy - tuned to the neck and shoulder girdle.
