FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
These are what people ask me most often. If you do not find an answer here, feel free to call: +36 20 983 8837.
Booking and cancellation
How can I book an appointment?
Online, on the booking page - no registration: you give your name, e-mail address and phone number and choose what complaint you are coming with (you can also say you would rather tell me in person). If you are coming for the first time, please call me after booking so we can briefly discuss your complaint and make the appointment final.
Why do I have to give my phone number?
Because if anything unexpected comes up, the phone is the fastest way to reach you. I store your number with your booking and only call you about your appointment.
Can I cancel my appointment online?
Yes. Your confirmation e-mail contains a cancellation link for cancelling the appointment - no later than 24 hours before it starts. After that, you can only cancel by phone, so that someone else can still take the freed-up slot. The details are in the house rules.
The two of us would like to come. How should we book?
For a couples treatment, book two consecutive slots, each in your own name and with your own phone number. That gives the two of you 40 minutes in total.
About the treatment
Does the treatment hurt?
It depends on the state you arrive in. If you have waited a long time with a complaint, the area may be sensitive and the treatment may come with an unpleasant sensation - but that is never for its own sake: a tight muscle has to be released first, and only then can mobilisation follow. I always allow time for the preparation, I watch how the muscles let go, and I only mobilise when your body is ready for it.
What should I expect after the treatment?
As many people, as many reactions. Some feel lighter straight away; for others the complaint first gets stronger and clears up over 1 to 3 days - in my experience that is not unusual either. At the next visit I always ask what has changed.
Can I do sport after the treatment?
Avoid strenuous movement on the day of the treatment and the day after. Drink plenty of fluids, and if you can, take a warm bath - it helps recovery.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on your condition. In my experience many feel a marked improvement after 2 to 3 visits; for young people 1 to 2 are often enough, while at an older age 5 to 7 may be needed, because joints and ligaments are stiffer. What you can expect, I will tell you honestly after the assessment.
How often should I come?
At the beginning typically weekly, then less and less often as you improve. My aim is not that you come to me a lot, but that you become free of complaints as soon as possible - after that a maintenance visit every few months is enough.
When is treatment not applicable?
I do not treat in cases of a feverish, acute infection, thrombosis, a fresh fracture or a severe injury, and there is a range of conditions you should tell me about in advance: osteoporosis, blood-thinning medication, cancer, pregnancy, previous spinal surgery and others. I have put the full list on the Method page. In case of osteoporosis I also ask for the DEXA report, if such an examination was done. At the assessment I always ask about these. If you have already seen a doctor about your complaint, please bring any medical reports or your hospital discharge letter; if not, it is worth seeing your GP as well, because my treatment complements medical care - it does not replace it.
Practical questions
What should I wear?
Loose, comfortable clothing - a tracksuit is perfect. You do not need to undress.
Should I bring my medical reports?
If you have a recent imaging report - X-ray, MRI, CT or DEXA - bring it with you or mention it: it helps a lot with the assessment.
How much earlier should I arrive?
Five minutes early is enough. In rush hour - around 4 to 5 pm - allow 10 to 15 minutes extra, because lateness comes out of the treatment time.
Where can I park, and where do I go in?
You can park free of charge directly in front of the practice, and it is a 20-metre walk from there. Come in through the gate, walk along the passage and take a seat in the waiting room - there is no need to ring. Here I show you the way step by step.
How far is the practice from the city centre?
Five to eight minutes by car, a little more in rush hour.
Do you do full-body massage?
No, I always concentrate on the problem area - that is how I get the most out of the 20 minutes.
Do you make house calls?
No, I treat only at the practice - this is where all the equipment and the calm surroundings are.
Can I buy a gift card?
Yes, you can buy a gift card at the practice - ask by phone. The card is valid for 3 months from the date of purchase.
Can I pay by card or SZÉP card?
Yes, besides cash I also accept bank cards - and among SZÉP cards (a Hungarian employee benefit card), only the OTP SZÉP card.
